Alberto Atalah

Alberto Atalah, a Chilean drummer, began playing drums when he was 14. After five years of private lessons on drum kit and snare drum, he began studying classical percussion at the Catholic University in Chile, where he learnt to play xylophone, marimba, percussion sets and kettledrums, as well as other instruments.

Alberto has also taken private lessons from a number of drum teachers over the years. While studying, he stood out for his snare drum skills in particular.

Alberto’s strengths are double bass drumming, rudiments, polyrhythms and odd meters. In recent years he’s worked with a variety of rock, metal, pop, fusion, progressive and Latin American bands in South America and Europe.

Alberto’s lived in Berlin since 2005, and currently plays with The Outside (metal). Alberto started taking lessons at thePlanetDrum in the middle of 2008 and has been trained in our teaching method.
