Noelia Sánchez

Noelia Sánchez is a Spanish drummer who started playing at the age of 13. From an early age she was touring with her female rock band in Spain, winning several awards and recording her first album “Girls got rhythm”.

In 2015 she finished her bachelor’s degree in classical percussion at the Manuel Castillo Conservatory of Music in Seville. During this period she focused on classical music interpretation and teaching in various music schools.

After finishing her studies, she moved to Barcelona, where she resumed her drumming activity, playing with various musicians and bands, as well as receiving lessons from various renowned drummers of the Catalonian scene.
In 2018 she released her second album as a drummer with the band EVA, an interdisciplinary project based in Barcelona that drew a great deal of attention.

One year later she moved to Berlin, where she continues to develop as a musician. Noelia stands out within the soul, funk, hip-hop and groove genres for her unique sound. Along with more than 10 years of teaching experience, her classical training has left her with a comprehensive understanding of percussion technique.

Having received training in the thePlanetDrum teaching method, Noelia has now been part of our teaching staff since June 2020.
